Poetry Solace: Of life and happiness

Here are a few interesting quotes that I've stumbled upon while surfing the Net.. :)
p/s: these are not mine and I have no intention of infringing any copyrights here.

Happiness is like a butterfly.
The more you chase it, the more it eludes you.
But if you turn your attention to other things,
It comes and sits softly on your shoulder.
 - Henry David Thoreau

People were created to be loved.
Things were created to be used.
The reason the world is in chaos,
is because things are being loved, and people are being used.

Happiness always sneaks in a door you did not think was open.

Being happy doesn’t mean that everything is perfect.
It means that you’ve decided to look beyond the imperfections.

Life is not about kissing a**, it’s about kicking a**!

Life isn’t a journey to the grave
with the intention of arriving safely
in a well preserved body,
but rather to skid in sideways,
chocolate in one hand,
latte in the other,
body thoroughly used up,
totally worn out and screaming ‘Woohoo WHAT A RIDE’!

Have a good weekend!
