Poetry Solace: Of image, see and eternity

Realized that I preferred British poets to American ones..  and I like short poems, not those long one which is way too lengthy for my liking.. :p

Today, I present you 3 poems by William Blake..

A Divine Image
Cruelty has a human heart,
And Jealousy a human face;
Terror the human form divine,
And Secresy the human dress.

The human dress is forged iron,
The human form a fiery forge,
The human face a furnace sealed,
The human heart its hungry gorge.

To See
To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand
And eternity in an hour.

Eternity
He who binds to himself a joy
Does the winged life destroy;
But he who kisses the joy as it flies
Lives in eternity's sun rise.

Enjoy your weekends!
